Are you ALIVE? I love SHOOTING PEOPLE with a camera, click.  I love wine, good music (I stay far away from the "Top 40"), great art and LIFE.  In fact, I love life so much that it compels me capture it professionally with a camera, but if you stick around you might catch me catching life with video and audio as well.

This brings me to the most important question that I have for you:  Are you ALIVE, not just breathing and eating, but LIVING?

If you answered YES, we should talk, I want to capture it (your life that is).  If you're just an eater and breather, give LIVING a shot, we'll all be dead soon enough.

If you came to me and said, "Do you think I am in love?"  Without knowing you at all, even if I had never met you, I'd say, "Nope, you're not in love.  You won't have to ask anybody when you're in love, you will KNOW!"

If you are or have been in love and I came to you and said, "Love isn't a thing, it isn't a thing because you can't explain it to me, and I can't make myself be in love."  You'd either think I am crazy or you would have pity on me for having never experienced being in love.  But you certainly wouldn't say, "Huh, you're right, love doesn't exist, how could I have been so dumb, thinking I am in love"

True knowledge, the kind that changes who we are and what we value, the kind of knowledge that changes our lives and how we live doesn't lie in the world detectable by our senses.  Rather the only true knowledge is an affective knowledge that can only be gained through experience, by judging our own life against the needs of our humanity.

What are the needs of our humanity?  Our need for beauty, truth, goodness, justice, love and all of the things that we can never get too much of.   I like pizza, I like music, I like wine, I like my job but there comes a point when I say, "Okay, enough pizza, enough music, enough wine, enough work."   But you'll never hear me say, "Okay that's enough beauty, can I have some ugliness please."

These convoluted past 4 paragraphs are the fruit of me trying to answer the "Why photography?" question again.   Photography allows me the detachment, the circumstance and the deliberateness to look.

Justin and Gina, thank you for bringing me to the beauty of yourselves, your friends and family and your relationship.

Enough blathering Tim!  Show me some pictures already!

My day started at Crosswoods Golf Course in Crosslake with Justin and his friends, followed by the ladies and gentlemen getting ready at Gina's family cabin.

We made a stop at Moonlight Bay in Crosslake.  Well, Justin's nickname is "Snake", and well this guy in the purple hat, hilarious wig and rockin' ACDC t-shit is also called "Snake", so both "Snakes" decided to arm-wrestle over who's the biggest "Snake."

A cocktail hour was held at Gina's parent's beautiful cabin.  This is where LaJeanna at Social Butterfly just begins to show her mad wedding-planning skills!

Even though Justin and Gina danced first, Gina and her father are the one who kicked off the partaaaaaayy.

Tim- I am sure you are busy...but had to comment on the photo on the dance floor. The picture of the bride with her ring hand in the foreground....WOW!!! That photo can sum up the whole day (awesomeness), and I wasn't even there. You have accomplished in one picture the emotion of the whole day...you epitomize wedding photojournalism!
