 Are you ALIVE? I love SHOOTING PEOPLE with a camera, click.  I love wine, good music (I stay far away from the "Top 40"), great art and LIFE.  In fact, I love life so much that it compels me capture it professionally with a camera, but if you stick around you might catch me catching life with video and audio as well.

This brings me to the most important question that I have for you:  Are you ALIVE, not just breathing and eating, but LIVING?  

If you answered YES, we should talk, I want to capture it (your life that is).  If you're just an eater and breather, give LIVING a shot, we'll all be dead soon enough.

Keana + Andrea = Engaged and getting married in MEXICO!!!

Keane and Andrea are getting married in MEXICO...    that's pretty much awesome if you ask me.   I first met Andrea and Keane when they drove down from Walker, MN on beautiful Leach Lake to shoot their engagement session in Brainerd.

We started by wondering downtown Brainerd, then heading to Cragun's Legacy Golf Course to finish.

Travis + Kate = Married @ Northland Brainerd Arboretum!

Weddings are so awesome and Travis and Kate's was no exception.  Beautiful weather, fun wedding party and great families, all around a great wedding.   You may recall Travis and Kate engagement session on Blog 2.0.

Wedding season is running full tilt right now, so please forgive me if it takes a little longer than normal for me to reply to emails and return phone calls.

My day started with the ladies getting ready at The Lodge at Brainerd Lakes.

03-brainerd_arboretum_wedding.jpg04-brainerd_arboretum_wedding.jpg05-brainerd_arboretum_wedding.jpg06-brainerd_arboretum_wedding.jpgThis image sums up the utility and ingenuity of Kate who solved quite a dilemma.  She wanted her and Travis's first time seeing each other on their wedding day to be someplace remote and private, but at the same time didn't want to have a car at the Arboretum to sorry about.  The problem was solved by blind folding Travis so Kate could ride with him on the limo and then they wouldn't have to worry about a car!

(Justin + Nikki) x AfterShoot = Visual Deliciousness

I drive through Brainerd multiple times a week and I've seen all of these locations hundreds of times.  In fact, if you have ever been to Brainerd you too will have seen most if not all of these locations.

I met up with Justin and Nikki the evening after their wedding to make some images.  Nikki and Justin are from Brainerd so I really wanted to enter into Brainerd and see it from my perspective.

Nikki and Justin...  thank you for the creative freedom to create these images.

Justin + Nikki = Married @ The Lodge at Brainerd Lakes

Justin and Nikki are passionate people who are seriously in love with each other and this is obvious in the tears, laughing, smiles and embraces that accompanied their wedding.  Their friends and family were overwhelmingly welcoming and joyful at the event of Justin and Nikki's marriage and I am so thankful for being invited to be present at this milestone in their journey.

You may recall Justin and Nikki's engagement session on my Blog 2.0.

Nikki and Justin were married in Baxter at Lord of Life Lutheran with their reception at The Lodge at Brainerd Lakes, but my day started with the ladies at The Fine Line Salon in Brainerd.
